Haridwar, one of the seven holiest cities in Hinduism, marks the sacred beginning of your Char Dham pilgrimage. Afternoon free for rest or optional holy dip at Har Ki Pauri - the sacred spot where Lord Vishnu is believed to have left his footprint. Evening (5:30-6:00 PM): Proceed for the world-famous Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri. Witness thousands gathering as priests perform the elaborate ceremony with large brass lamps, bells, conch shells, and devotional chanting. Thousands of oil lamps (diyas) float on the Ganga, creating a mesmerizing river of lights. The spiritual atmosphere is profound. After aarti, return to hotel for dinner.
