Travel tips

Carry Valid ID/Passport

A passport or government photo ID is mandatory for Indian nationals travelling to Nepal — keep multiple photocopies and digital backups handy; a passport is required for all flight sectors on this circuit.

Pack for Multiple Climates

This circuit spans the warm Nepal terai (Janakpur, Lumbini), the mild Kathmandu Valley, and cold high-altitude Muktinath — pack light cottons plus warm windproof layers for the Jomsom-Muktinath sector.

Carry Local Currency

NPR is the primary currency; carry some cash for Jomsom and Muktinath where card acceptance and ATMs are limited, and keep small denominations for temple offerings.

Comfortable Walking Shoes

Essential for temple complexes, the Sacred Garden at Lumbini, and the short uphill walk at Muktinath.

Carry Personal Medicines

Basic first aid, prescriptions, paracetamol, and altitude-relief medication (consult your doctor) — plus any regular medication, as brands differ from India.

Build in Flight Buffer Time

The Kathmandu–Janakpur and Pokhara–Jomsom sectors are both weather-sensitive; avoid tight connections around these legs of the journey.

Keep Luggage Light & Modular

With multiple flights and frequent hotel changes, pack in a single manageable bag and keep a small daypack for daily sightseeing.

Respect Temple Customs

Dress modestly, remove footwear where required, and follow photography rules — non-Hindus are not permitted inside the main sanctum of Pashupatinath Temple, though the complex and ghats can be viewed freely.

Stay Connected

Consider a local Nepal SIM or international roaming pack; our tour manager remains reachable throughout.

Build in Rest

This is a multi-region journey across nine days — use leisure time in Kathmandu on Day 8 to rest and shop before the return flight.
